How to Use This Tool
Start with the planner inputs first, then add personnel rows below. The tool applies LOE to monthly salary, calculates fringe, and prorates the total monthly cost across the selected period.
Enter the start date, end date, and total available amount to spend for the planning period before adding personnel.
Proration days are calculated using inclusive dates:
End Date − Start Date + 1
The monthly proration factor is then:
(Days ÷ 365) × 12
Salary at LOE = Monthly Salary × LOE %
Monthly Fringe = Salary at LOE × Fringe Rate
Total Monthly Cost = Salary at LOE + Monthly Fringe
Prorated Period Cost = Total Monthly Cost × Proration Factor
