Payroll Base

Enter the payroll amount that will be used to calculate the percentage or amount being moved.

Amount Paid in Retro Period

For biweekly payroll, enter the amount paid in the retro period. For monthly payroll, enter the monthly salary amount.

Retro Date Range

Tulane biweekly payroll uses official payroll boundary dates. Other institution or payroll combinations may be entered manually.

Retro Start Date Retro End Date

Debit and Credit Entry

Enter one or more debit and credit lines as needed. The number of debit or credit accounts does not matter, but the total debit change must equal the total credit change.

Debit and credit guidance

Debit the account that should properly receive the charge. Credit the account where the charge was originally posted incorrectly.

Percent entry

Enter percentages as whole-number percentages, such as 20 for 20%, not 0.20.

Auto-calculation

You may enter either Percent or Amount on a row, and the other value will calculate automatically.

Status interpretation

Positive (+) values mean debit is higher. Negative (−) values mean credit is higher.
